Until fairly recent times nearly everyone was using the same boring old cell phone ringtones. Using just a basic ringing sound or beeping call alert for your ringtone was normal and basically all that was available. But now there are literally endless ringtones and you can use more or less any music or sound as your call ringing alert. As well as the limitless number of music tracks and artists tunes you also have dedicated nokia ringtones and sony ericsson ringtones too. As well as the various sounds and tunes in ringtones they can be downloaded in various formats as well. Some of the main types of tones are polyphonic, real tones and MP3 files.
